an integrative approach to therapy
You are not a problem to be solved.
You are a complex being with a nervous system uniquely imprinted by your own experiences.
about me
I’m Jen, a registered psychologist working remotely from the Blue Mountains, NSW — Dharug and Gundungurra Country. My approach to therapy is non-pathologising at its core. I believe neurodivergence is not a deficit to be corrected, that nature is a profound therapeutic partner, and that the right therapy feels less like fixing and more like finally coming home to yourself.
I was diagnosed with autism later in life. It reframed my past, softened my self-criticism, and helped me to understand myself in deeper ways. Through this lived experience, I can deeply relate to the challenges of navigating a world that feels like it wasn’t built for you.
My approach is neuroaffirming and trauma-informed, and I aim to hold a safe and inclusive space for people to deepen their self-understanding, and shape lives that truly allow them to thrive.
My practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens across mind, body, spirit, and our relationship with the natural world. I work primarily with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy, alongside Internal Family Systems, Existential, Somatic and Ecotherapy frameworks. I ensure that the chosen therapeutic modality works for the person in front of me.
When I'm not working, I'm usually outdoors — hiking through the bush and hoping to encounter wildlife (I have a particular soft spot for birds and reptiles!). I also love being creative with piano and watercolour painting.
